Evaz (Persian: اوز) is a city in the Central District of Evaz County, Fars province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district. The people of Evaz are native Persians of Zoroastrian origin who later converted to Sunni Islam. The people of Evaz speak Evazi. The majority of Evazi Persians are Sunni Muslims.
